On The Study Of Painting Space In The Narration Of Neo Rauch Image

As an important part of visual art,"image narration" has been concerned in today’s society.With the coming of image age,image brings us not only visual enjoyment but also a new way of cultural expression.Roland Barthes once proposed that any material was suitable for narration.In addition to literary works,it also includes paintings,films,comics,social anecdotes,conversations,narration carriers that can be oral or written vocal language,fixed or active pictures,gestures,and organic mixture of all materials.Of course,this doesn’t mean that it’s just a simple combination of images and narrations,but it also contains rich connotations like linguistic logic.As "narration",time and space are the premise,and human "narration" itself is a specific behavior in space-time,so if "image" wants to achieve narration,it will also create the connection between space and time.Neo Rauch,as the most famous German artist in the world,has made great achievements in painting with his unique historical "narration".The narration in a single image is completed by rearranging and "juxtaposing" the scenes or elements at different time points on the same picture.Therefore,based on the most distinctive feature(narration)in Neo Rauch’s painting,I will analyze Neo Rauch’s painting features with the help of the theory of image narration.I think Neo Rauch’s image narration has its own characteristics,that is,each scene space has the characteristics of "independence".This means that although there are juxtaposed scenes in Neo Rauch’s image narration,the scenes may not be related to each other(it is impossible to connect them in space),but there is still time connection in this independent case.In his image narration painting,Neo Rauch,by observing the same scene from different angles and then juxtaposing it in the picture at the same time,formed the transformation of viewpoint from "static" to "moving",formed the continuity of "time" and completed "narration".Therefore,this part is exactly where my theoretical construction lies.This paper mainly discusses from three parts:First,the concept of image narration is defined,and the "comprehensive narration" under image narration is discussed.The unique characteristics of Neo Rauch’s image narration are also analyzed logically;Secondly,it analyzes the characteristics of space in Neo Rauch’s image narration: 1.This paper discusses the composition of painting space in Neo Rauch’s image narration.Here I will discuss the reference of "space" in Neo Rauch’s image narration to tradition and modernity;2.I will analyze the "space" feature of Neo Rauch’s image narration in three parts:(1)On the independence of "space" in Neo Rauch’s image narration;(2)The continuity of juxtaposition "space";(3)The characteristics of "space" fragmentation are explained one by one and analyzed in combination with Neo Rauch’s image narration works.Last but not least,it analyzes the contrast and value of "space" in Neo Rauch’s image narration: 1.It compares the "space" in Neo Rauch’s image narration with that of other artists(compared with Bernhard Heisig and chinese 2.It analyzes the value of the unique "space" in Neo Rauch’s image narration.In the conclusion part,I will summarize this paper.
