Malaysia,as the first country from ASEAN to establish diplomatic ties with China, has become the largest trading partner for China. And China is Malaysia's the most important source of import and second largest export market. With the acceleration of globalization, more and more people pay attention to the role of language policy in economics, politics and cultural communications. The translator has translated two research achievements from Language Policy and Planning in Higher Education in Malaysia project, which refer to entitled Change in Language Policy in Malaysia: The Reality of Implementation in Public Universities and Language Policy in Malaysia: Reversing Direction. Those two achievements had published in 2005 and 2006,which were written by Saran Kaur Gill,Professor of University Kebangsaan Malaysia,School of Language Studies and Linguistics. This translation practice report selected specific cases to summarize the strategies adopted in the translation process, with discourse analysis as the analytical framework and the seven textual features put forward by Beaugrande and Dressler in 1981 as tools. The translator applied the strategies and experience of the translation practice to this report with specific examples, which was expected to benefit for the translation of language policy and make a contribution to intercultural communication.
