In the modern history of Korea, faced with the bitter reality that the motherland has been constantly invaded by Japanese encroachment, countless independence fighters both at home and abroad have been resisting and struggling to find the way for independence.Lee Beom-seok is one of the most prominent figures in the proindependence movement in China, which is also facing the task of anti-imperialist and anti-aggression in Korea. For nearly half of his 70-year life,Lee Beom-seok has been engaged in anti-Japanese independence activities, especially in 1910-1945.During this period,Lee Beom-seok was active in Shanghai,Yunnan, northeastern China,Luoyang and Xi'an.Among them,Lee Bum-seok also made several contacts with the Communist Party in the Soviet Union during his independence activities in northeast China from 1919 to 1933.After exile in China,Lee Bum-seok was educated in military affairs at the Yunnan Military Academy and grew up as a soldier. In northeastern China,Lee Beom-seok has served as military instructor at the Military and Political Affairs Commission of the West Road and the Military and Political Department of the North Road, and has devoted himself to the formation of an independent army.In 1920,Lee Bum-seok participated in and commanded the Battle of Cheongsan-ri,and won the title of "Youth General" by winning the first major victory since the armed struggle against Japan.Lee Beom-seok served as chief of staff of the Liberation Army after the establishment of the Liberation Army in September 1940.He served as the second chief of the Liberation Army in 1942.He actively engaged in military propaganda and recruitment in Xi'an,and cooperated with the U.S.military in order to enter the Korean War on Independence Day.During his activities in northeastern China,Lee Beom-seok was at the height of the chaos in Northeast China, and the Soviet Union and Japan were eager to control the Northeast region, with the aim of intertwining various forces including the Northeast warlords, horse thieves and the independent armed groups of Koreans. In order to strengthen the independence forces and win national independence,Lee Bumseok participated in the war against Japan by the Soviet Red Army, and also fought against Japan by the warlords Chang Tsung-chang,Ma Chanchang and Su Bingwen. The need for independence and the painful reality of the national subjugation force have filled Lee Beom-seok's road to national rejuvenation with contradictions and limitations.Especially after being betrayed by the Soviet Union and having lived in Tommusque in Siberia,Lee Beom-seok has developed a sense of distrust and even anti-Soviet consciousness.
