Scaffolding instruction is a teaching method based on constructivism theory.It originated from the zone of proximal development proposed by Vygotsky.Teachers use situational teaching to build a reasonable framework for students by grasping the actual situation of students.Then they lead students to explore knowledge independently,and finally help ultimately help students to complete the mastery of knowledge.For scaffolding instruction,students are the core of the classroom,the role of the teacher is the promoter,students can construct their own knowledge actively.In foreign countries,scaffolding teaching method is popular and it is widely used and highly appraised by many researchers.In the big cities of China,scaffolding teaching method has been applied in a certain extent.However,there are few applied researches on scaffolding teaching.The students in the author ' s school are basically from families of migrant workers.A large part of the students are left-behind children who grew up with grandparents.Therefore,most of students lack the necessary guidance and companionship in life,so they are tired of studying seriously.Since the elementary school stage,there has been no standardized English courses.Gradually,they have lost interest in English,and writing has become the weakest in their English learning.This research used questionnaires and test papers to explore the role of scaffolding teaching model in junior middle school English writing teaching.Try to use the scaffolding writing teaching method to improve the English writing level of rural junior high school,the purpose is to stimulate students 'writing interest and improve students' writing ability.This study attempts to answer the following two questions:1.Will the scaffold teaching mode improve students' performance in Writing?2.Will the scaffold teaching mode improve students' interests in Writing?The results of the study show that: scaffold teaching mode can improve students 'interests in writing;scaffold teaching mode can improve students' writing performance.
