Objective: To investigate the relationship between secondary school students' bullying victimization and student engagement,the thesis constructs a relationship model among bullying victimization,school climate and student engagement.In addition,the multi-level moderation effect's mechanism of school climate on bullying and engagement is verified.Methods: The research conducts a survey on 3079 secondary school students among 11 schools in Hunan Province by adopting stratified cluster sampling method and using Chinese revised version of Delaware School Climate Scale(DSCS,Student version),Chinese revised version of Delaware Bullying Victimization Scale(DBVS,Student version),and Chinese revised version of Delaware Student Engagement Scale(DSES-S,Student version).The survey data is analyzed by using SPSS25.0 and HLM7.0.Results:(1)In this work,the percentage of people suffering from bullying victimization is 9.46 percent.In the students suffering from bullying victimization,the percentages of junior high school students are more than those of high school students.In addition,the percentages of male students of whom are more than those of female students.(2)There are remarkable negative relevant relations between bullying victimization and student engagement.Instead,the relations between bullying victimization and school climate are positive.(3)For individual level,there are remarkable moderation effects of school climate on bullying victimization and cognitive-behavioral engagement,emotional engagement and student engagement score,respectively.(4)For class level,there is a moderation effect of school climate on bullying victimization and emotional engagement.(5)Significant cross-level interaction of school climate was observed on multi-relationships between bullying victimization and cognitive-behavioral engagement,emotional engagement and student engagement score,respectively.(6)Higher the school climate perceived by individual level or class level is,more clear the negative the forecast of bullying victimization to emotional engagement is.In addition,high-level school climate perceived by individual level can provide a cushion to unfavorable effects of bullying victimization on cognitive-behavioral engagement.Conclusions: 1)For the secondary school students,there are remarkable multi-level moderation effects of school climate perception on the relationship between bullying victimization and student engagement.2)For the secondary school students in high-level school climate,bullying victimization affects emotional engagement seriously,but cognitive-behavioral engagement slightly.
