With the rapid development of economy and the continuous promotion of urbanization,more and more labor force choose to develop in other places,which makes their children forced to separate from them,thus forming the phenomenon of "staying behind".The study of the phenomenon of staying behind has always been the focus of many scholars.Most studies show that the communication between parents and children of left behind adolescents is worse than that of non left behind adolescents,and they are more likely to have psychological or behavioral problems,such as low self-esteem and high social anxiety.Results:(1)the level of parent-child communication and self-esteem of left behind adolescents was significantly lower than that of non left behind adolescents,and the level of social anxiety was significantly higher than that of non left behind adolescents,and the main effect of time was significant.The scores of parent-child communication and self-esteem decreased from the first year to the second year,and the scores of social anxiety increased.(2)The main effect of time on parent-child communication and self-esteem of left behind adolescents is significant,parent-child communication shows a downward trend,and social anxiety shows an upward trend;the main effect of gender on self-esteem level is significant,the self-esteem of boys is significantly higher than that of girls,the interaction between time and gender exists in the parent-child communication dimension;the residence of parent-child communication,self-esteem and social anxiety The main effect was not significant.(3)Social anxiety in the first year can significantly negatively predict parent-child communication in the second year;parent-childcommunication and self-esteem can not predict each other;self-esteem margin in the first year can significantly predict social anxiety in the second year.(4)In the immediate mediating model,self-esteem plays a mediating role between parent-child communication and social anxiety;in the delayed mediating model,self-esteem in the first year and the second year plays a full mediating role between parent-child communication in the first year and social anxiety in the second year.Conclusion: The social anxiety of left behind adolescents in the first year can significantly predict the parent-child communication in the second year,and the self-esteem in the first year can significantly predict the social anxiety in the second year;self-esteem plays an immediate and delayed intermediary role between parent-child communication and social anxiety.
