On Moral Realm

Human moral life needs the strong support of moral realm,Ethics should also attach great importance to the study of moral realm.There are many philosophers in ancient and modern-China and foreign who talk about the moral realm,but few of them construct it as a theoretical system.The issue of moral realm involves human's search for moral meaning and moral value.All moral meanings and values can only be embodied through people's moral thinking,moral cognition,moral emotion,moral will,moral belief and moral behavior,and can only be realized through people's conscious pursuit and promotion,thus forming people's moral realm.Different people or the same person in different periods have different degrees of understanding of moral meaning and moral values.Therefore,the moral realm not only has interpersonal differences,but also has hierarchical characteristics.Moral realm is essentially a kind of spiritual realm,which reflects the height of people's moral cultivation.Moral realm is an important dimension of life realm,but also the basic content of people's moral personality.There are three definition models of moral realm: state theory,ultimate theory and hierarchy theory.Moral realm has psychological characteristics.We can examine the existence of moral realm by analyzing the psychological elements and psychological characteristics of moral subject.Moral realm has hierarchical characteristics,which can be divided into the lowest moral realm,the general moral realm and the highest moral realm.The hierarchy of moral realm are closely related to the hierarchy of moral personality.Moral realm has transcendental characteristics.It refers to the overall transcendence of the subject in moral thinking,moral cognition,moral emotion,moral will,moral belief and other aspects,and it needs the support of what Chinese philosophers call Gongfu.Both Chinese and western ethical history have a tradition of attaching importance to the study of moral realm,but comparatively speaking,Chinese ethical circle attaches more importance to it.The moral realm plays an important role in the moral life of human beings,and the lofty moral realm can lead the moral spirit of human beings to continuously rise.Entering the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the moral construction of Chinese citizens is facing many new problems related to people's moral realm.Therefore,how to cultivate people's moral realm should be mentioned on the urgent agenda.In the new era,citizens should have four moral realms: for oneself moral realm,for others moral realm,for human moral realm,for the universe moral realm.To further improve people's moral realm is an essential part of cultivating Good citizens in the new era.
