Oscar Wilde,a well-known British writer in 19 th century,is regarded as one of the most talented writers and artists in the world for his poetry, fairy tales, plays, and novels. As a representative of aestheticism,Wilde's literary works are sometimes sad and melancholic, sometimes tearful, and sometimes full of secret and horror. His accurate and elegant words and sentences have expressed his pure pursuit of art, beauty and love in his life.Wilde's literary achievements have astounded the whole world and there are lots of related researches.De Profundis is a collection of letters in prison that Wilde wrote to his homosexual lover Bosie. This collection of letters, which records the most beautiful and cruel love in his life,is a blood book of purgatory full of affection and sorrow.Wilde also expressed his views on art, life, philosophy and other aspects in the book.Compared with Wilde's well-known works such as fairy tales and novels,De Profundis appears to be relatively less famous, but this does not affect the appreciation of translators.De Profundis has been translated into names such as Shen Yuan Shu Jian,Zi Shen Shen Chu,Wang Er De Yu Zhong Ji,etc..The author of this thesis chooses Yu Zhong Ji by Sun Yixue,Zi Shen Shen Chu by Zhu Chunshen and Zi Shen Shen Chu by Ye Weifang to do research. These three versions have a long time span to each other and strong personal styles. Therefore, they are selected as research materials.Translation aesthetics has achieved long-term development in China and has a profound philosophical atmosphere and traditional foundation.Based on Mao Ronggui's translation aesthetic theory, this article analyzes the impact of aesthetics on translation on different levels of word, sentence and aesthetic feeling. This thesis will briefly sort out the translation of Wilde's works in China and the development oftranslation aesthetics, introduce Mao Ronggui's theory and talk about the relationship between translation and aesthetics through examples.According to the comparative analysis,Zhu Chunshen's version is relatively better among the three translations from the perspective of translation aesthetics. This research links translation with aesthetics, consisting of cross-subjects and complexity. After network querying, the author finds that there is few researches on De Profundis related to translation aesthetics.Through the combination of the two areas and the analysis of specific examples, this study can provide guidance to De Profundis' Chinese translation and the translation practice of similar works, and help to enhance the aesthetic sense of English-Chinese translation works.
