The Research Of Folk Custom Writing About "Sanyan"

Folklore and literature complement each other.Folklore is the inspirations of literary creation,and the development of literature is closely related to that of folklore.“Sanyan”,as the master of China's ancient realistic novels,is the peak writing of the late Ming writer Feng Menglong.It has a total of 120 works,which records the folk culture in the late Ming period from a lot of aspects,depicting a vivid social folk scenes for the readers.This paper uses folklore theory to systematically sort out the folklore in the “Sanyan”,and uses the text of the work as the source of folklore to analyze the representative folklore matters.At the same time,the theory and method of folklore is used to analyze the literary function of folklore and the profound cultural value contained.Through the analysis of folklore in the novel,we can know the real life of in the late Ming Dynasty and the real life state and group psychology of citizens.The paper attempts to conduct a systematic study on the folklore writing in the“Sanyan” novels.The paper is divided into three parts:the introduction part briefly analyzes the relationship between folklore and literature,and shows the study on status of folklore in “Sanyan”;the text part is composed by three chapters for a more comprehensive analysis of folk customs.The first chapter lists the folk custom phenomenons of“Sanyan”in material production,material life,life etiquette,and ages and seasons.The second chapter analyzes the literary narrative function of folk writing in the text from three aspects of showing character personality through folk description,promoting plot development by folk writing,rendering narrative environment through folk scene.The third chapter explores the cultural connotation of folk customs,and,by analyzing the characteristics of that times and group psychology,points the society influence of prevailing values of mercantilism,the flexible values of funeral and marriage;the conclusion part is a summarization of the literary meaning and cultural value of the “Sanyan” folklore.
