| Zhang Jiayin is one of the “Latter Five Masters” of Ming Dynasty,and also a famous Ba Shu man who had both literature and career achievements.There are four features with his poetic theories as follows: first,learning from the past and using the present;second,create with both personality and imitation;third,give the same attention to learning ancients and following heart;fourth,value aesthetic claim of Xingling.He had a close relationship with“Back to the Ancients” school poets and the Bashu scholars,and writes many poems with them.It is significant to promote the development of Bashu culture in Ming Dynasty.This paper mainly takes Mr.Ju Lai’s collection as the research text.Combining with Zhang Jiayin’s poems and articles to analyzes his literary thoughts and writing characteristics,which starting from the three aspects of literature value,style value and cultural value.The first chapter,introduces Zhang Jiayin,and tracing back Mr.Ju Lai’s collection’s origin.By comparing the similarities and differences between the 65 volumes and the 35 volumes of Mr.Ju Lai’s collection.It is found that the 65 volumes has more content,include poems,Fu,letters,preface,funeral oration,epitaph and other styles,while the 35 volumes only contain poems and 8 volumes of letters.In addition,the 65 volumes had catalogues while the 35 volumes didn’t have.The second chapter discusses the stylistic features of Zhang Jiayin.Although he was one of the “Latter Five Masters”,he did not fully agree with the too absolute the Literary Movement of “Back to the Ancients”.He emphasized the expression of personal disposition in poetry and the pursuit of harmony among “emotion”,“artistic conception” and “rhyme”.His literary thoughts and ideas initially showed the beginning of Xingling theory.The third chapter discusses Zhang Jiayin’s literary intercourse.This paper focuses on his associates with literary giants Li Panlong,Wang Shizhen and Lu Nan,and other scholars of Bashu,such as Liu Hui,Liu Huangchang,Yang Shen.Makes contrastive analysis between the”Seven Masters” representative scholar and Bashu scholar Yang Shen,compares the similarities and differences of literature thoughts between the Literary Movement of “Back to the Ancients” and the Bashu scholars,and finds the different opinions with the“Back to the Ancients”.The fourth chapter looks at the regional culture from the Mr.Ju Lai’s collection.After being officials,Zhang Jiayin worked outside all his life.His yearning for his hometown was transformed into the cultural background of poetry and integrated into the charm of poetry.There is always the spirit of BaShu to lyric art,describing scenery,making friends,and replying writing activities.Based on his nostalgia for his hometown,he was keen on the collation of his hometown documents,and wrote The Preface of Records of Huayang,and writing The Preface of Tongliang Annals and The Preface of Dazu Annals,shows his consciousness and responsibility for inheriting Bashu culture.Generally speaking,although Zhang Jiayin’s literary achievements were not the top litterateur at that time,his unique and innovative literary thoughts are also had some influence in the literary world at that time.Most of his poems and articles were not limited in imitation,but included “Back to the Ancients” emotion and personality.It seems to have a natural charm and innovative spirit in that time which pursue “Back to the Ancients” style.Through study Mr.Ju Lai’s collection can not only have a better understanding of Zhang Jiayin,but also have certain positive significance for the study of the development of poetry in the mid-to late Ming Dynasty and the literati culture in Bashu area. |
