In Investigation Of Constructionalization And Inheritance Relations For The Negative Construction "Shenme X" And The Relevant Constructions

In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,acquisition investigations about using Chinese interrogative pronouns as grammatical points have been discussed by many scholars in recent years.We noticed that there is a kind of "Shenme X" negative construction namely,�Shenme X�,�Shenme X buX(de)�,�Shenme XYZ(de)�.Research on thesis constructions have been increasingly developed,but there are few studies about inheritance networks among constructions.Hence,this thesis mainly explores constructionalization and inheritance networks of Chinese definitions of "Shenme X" construction based on construction grammar theory.The thesis is divided into four chapters:Chapter 1 is a general introduction.It mainly introduces the research on negative constructions:�Shenme X� �Shenme X bu X(de)� �Shenme XZYZ(de)�and summarizes the academic achievements including constructions' components,constructions' characteristics and constructions' prototype.Chapter 2 is about the analysis of these negative constructions in terms of synchronicity.Based on the data of modern Chinese corpus,the chapter analyzes respectively three constructions' semantic.Next,it is found out that these three constructions have same semantics and some differences,consequently,predicting the inheritance link among these negative constructions.Chapter 3 is about the investigation of these negative constructions in aspect of diachronicity and their constructionalization.Make a research of these constructions how to construction in history of Chinese language.And then,observation on the characteristics in semantics in respective dynasty.It is found that �Shenme X� constructionalization is more complicated.According to these semantics,"Shenme X" is divided into two categories: descriptive negation and quotational negation to explore the path of its constructionalization.�Shenme Xbu X(de)� and �Shenme XZYZ(de)�is with the changes of meaning and form in constructions' components and with the disappearance of verbs.Chapter 4 is to clear inheritance relations among these negative constructions.Based on the researches in former three chapters,integrate construction how to inherit to form the inheritance network.
