The Peking Opera "Honglou opera" was performed in a large number on the opera stage in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.It led the acceptance and dissemination of the "Red Chamber" culture of the people at that time,and also brought innovative development to the Peking opera art itself.At present,the main achievements in the study of Peking Opera "Honglou opera" are edition description,artistic achievements and script adaptation.In this paper,Mei Lanfang's and Xun Huisheng's works of "Honglou opera" are taken as the objects.The main works of this paper are Mei Lanfang's "Dai Yu buried flowers","a smile with a thousand gold","Jun Xi Ren" and Xun Huisheng's "Honglou Eryou","Qingwen" and "pinger" and so on.From the aspects of Peking Opera script,performing art,aesthetics and so on,this paper makes an objective evaluation of their rehearsal of "Honglou opera",and then reveals the important value of "Honglou opera" of Mei and Xun.The article is divided into six parts:The introduction part mainly summarizes the description of "Honglou opera" in Beijing opera,sorts out and generalizes the previous research status of Mei Lanfang and Xun Huisheng's "Honglou opera" version description,artistic achievements and script adaptation,and clarifies the research methods and purposes.The first chapter is the research on the scripts of Mei Lanfang and Xun Huisheng's Peking Opera "Honglou opera",clarifying the situation of their scripts,analyzing the relevant materials of previous studies on "Honglou opera","QunfangJiyan","pinger" and "Qingwen",using the newly published script materials of "Honglou opera" to study the controversy of Mei Lanfang's scripts of "Honglou opera" and Xun Huisheng's scripts of "Honglou opera" The editors argued for evidence.This paper discusses the adaptation of Mei and Xun's "Red Chamber drama" from four aspects: theme extraction,character depiction,plot arrangement and poetry application.The author initially formed some cognition about the adaptation of the "Red Chamber drama" : the sublimation of the anti feudalism thought of the theme of the drama,the exaggeration and ornamentation of the characters in the drama,the transplantation and grafting of the plot.The second chapter compares and analyzes the artistic characteristics of Mei Lanfang and Xun Huisheng's "Honglou opera",and summarizes the different characteristics of Mei and Xun's "Honglou opera" that pay attention to affection and stage performance.This paper makes a detailed comparative study of the roles,costumes,singing design,characters' recitation,dance movements,and stage settings of the two people's "Honglou opera".It mainly discusses the differences in the selection of hair and costume,the treatment of singing music board,characters' Recitation and dance movements of the two people's "Honglou opera" Different innovative ideas in setting.The third chapter studies the aesthetic thoughts of Mei Lanfang and Xun Huisheng from the three aspects of artistic aesthetics,script arrangement and performance theory,discusses the differences of the theme and focus of their rehearsal of "Honglou opera",and summarizes the different performance theories they followed in rehearsal of "Honglou opera" : Mei Lanfang's "moving without changing shape" and Xun Huisheng's Pay attention to the "familiar drama production".The fourth chapter analyzes the reasons for the differences between Mei Lanfang's and Xun Huisheng's "Honglou opera" from three aspects: the way of opera,the creative group and the reception and communication of Honglou culture.It holds that the biggest reasons for the differences between their rehearsal of "Honglou opera" are their different ways of cooperation in the compilation of "Honglou opera" and the two people's dissemination of Peking Opera at two different levels,both at home andabroad.The fifth chapter discusses the status and influence of "Honglou opera" of Mei Lanfang and Xun Huisheng.Their "Honglou opera" not only had great repercussions on the Peking opera stage at that time,but also inspired the later opera workers."Honglou opera" not only has high artistic value,but also spreads advanced ideas,leading later opera workers to inherit or carry out different degrees of innovation in learning "Honglou opera".Even on today's stage,the "Red Chamber drama" they did is also full of vitality.
