As an intellectual retinue,Zhou Boqi has an important position and influence in the political arena in the late Yuan Dynasty.He wrote the poem "Jin Guang Ji" in three volumes and "Hu Cong Ji" in one volume,besides,"Shuo Wen Zi Yuan" and "Liu Shu Zheng E" were two works in characters of him.He also did well in calligraphy and calligraphy appreciation.This article studies Zhou Boqi's ancestors,his lifetime,his literary creation and his personal thought and mind.The first chapter examines Zhou Boqi's ancestors and his lifetime.The Zhou clan in Poyang,Raozhou originally came from Runan(An Hui province),and they moved to Poyang,Raozhou in late Song Dynasty.Most of Zhou Boqi's ancestors were intellectuals,and his father worked for the emperor of Yuan government at first so that laid the foundation for Zhou Boqi's career in Yuan Dynasty.Zhou Boqi's official position continued to rise throughout his career.He got along well with others including Mongolian officials in the government and some intellectuals who have same interests.The second chapter discusses the origin and continuity of Zhou Boqi's loyalty,his cultural view of mutual identities and blending of Mongolian and Chinese culture,and the origin of intellectual culture and Zhou Boqi's intellectual mentality.The third chapter discusses Zhou Boqi's literature creation.Mainly based on the "Jin Guang Ji","Hu Cong Ji" and his two philological works.The poems in the "Jin Guang Ji" can be divided into chronicle poems,Hucong poems,Tiyong poems,Changhe poems and farewell poems,etc.His poems have the artistic characteristics of YongRongDianLi,ZiRanHaoMai,and QingYiJianSheng.In addition,they have the significance of proving history facts and cultural scene recognition.
