Research On The Relationship Between Writing Form And Emotional Expression In Modern Chinese Character Font Design

For China,writing is not just like the Western writing,but only the function of recording and disseminating information.In the west,the spiritual connotation of the inner world is mainly interpreted in the form of painting,while in China,the expression of the spiritual connotation of painting and calligraphy is parallel.Some scholars think that there is no abstract expressionism painting in China,but in terms of art form,in fact,China's abstract expressionism is earlier than the west,that is,the so-called calligraphy art.In the art of calligraphy,we don't need to look at the meaning of the text,just look at its shape and then we can see the artistic conception of the text.Chinese calligraphy art is not only our cultural treasure,but also enlightens the Western abstract expressionism painting.For example,German artist hatong,influenced by Chinese calligraphy,created the abstract painting composed of the simple line shape.Inspired by Chinese cursive calligraphy,Mathew,a French painter,has created a series of abstract and fast improvisational Lyric paintings.According to Blaise Malton,a famous American Abstract Expressionist,Chinese calligraphy contains the spirit and symbolism of painting.Therefore,Malton created his own paintings after he had a deep understanding of the inner spirit of Chinese calligraphy.At the same time,the composition structure of Chinese characters is far more complex than that of Western phonetic alphabets.Pictograph,indication,understanding,pictophonetics,annotation and loan are all the basis of Chinese character system,which we call Liushu.Therefore,it is very important to write the meaning of tradition and our cultural value,which is also different from the West.However,with the flood of history in the digital era flowing into our lifestyle,keyboard typing has become the main way of modern people's recording,communication and communication,and the writing tradition has gradually been ignored by us.The changes from paper and pen to keyboard and screen media may not have a direct impact on Western culture,but for us,the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional culture There are certain obstacles.In our pursuit of science and technology and efficiency,we need to properly look back to history and think about what we have achieved and what we have lost.Therefore,this paper will excavate the emotional expression value of the writing tradition,and embody its value in the way of font design,so that more people can pay attention to the significance of the writing tradition for our Chinese culture inheritance,and at the same time make the cold code characters in the digital era regain the temperature sense of the handwritten characters.As emotion is variable,this paper will take handwriting psychology as the theoretical basis for the relationship between writing and emotion.By combining the four elements of handwriting psychology,i.e.pen use,structure,composition and ink color,with the method of handwriting emotion analysis,I will take the handwriting of Chinese calligraphy school "emotion only school" as an example to analyze and study,so as to get the conclusion that writing form is related to emotional expression Creative path,to complete the experimental font design practice.
