The translation and study of the Chinese children's literature,as part of the Chinese literature and culture, can not only promote both the spread of Chinese culture and the further understanding and discussion of Chinese children's literature by the world at large, but also enrich the diversity of world literature and culture. This paper aims to find applicable translation strategies to reproduce original narrative and stylistic effects in the Chinese-English translation of children's literature from the perspective of narrative stylistics.Taking the translation of Lord of the Fireflies(excerpts)as an example, this paper discusses not only the specific guidance of focalization and narrative order for the translation, but also the translation of reported speech, name and appellation by adopting close reading and comparative analysis. This study provides new ideas for the translation of children's literature, especially children's novel. The research findings are as follows:First, the translator should pay attention to the narrative perspective of the original text and translate the text in accordance with the original narrative perspective, which is conducive to reproducing original narrative effects in the translation.Secondly, the translator should pay attention to the narrative order of the original text, which is in favour of avoiding omission and mistranslation.Thirdly,in terms of the vague retail words' translation,a better translation strategy and English version can be found in analysis of both the function of different quotation and the characters of focalization.Fourth, the contextual and narrative effects can be applied to guide the translation of names and appellations.
