The Landscape of Ancient Cities in Jingchu describes the history and landscape in Jingchu. There are so many famous scholars and historical sites which are of great archeological value. In order to "Bring Chinese culture to the global stage ",as a Jingzhou local,I chose the sixth chapter Jingzhou in The Landscape of Ancient Cities in Jingchu as the source text, which is a combination of informative text and regional cultural text.Based on the complex content and various styles of the source text, the author uses Newmark's theory, including communicative translation, semantic translation and correlative approach to translation to guide the translation work.Specifically, the communicative translation and the semantic translation is mainly applied to analyze the lexical and syntactic levels of the source text. The author relies mainly on the communicative translation while using the semantic translation subsidiary. At the lexical level, the author extracts and discusses typical culture-loaded words, fourcharacter phrases, and names of ancient books and poems. Then the author mainly adopts transliteration, annotation, free translation, and literal translation to achieve conversion. At the syntactic level, the author mainly focuses on and analyzes parataxis sentences,non-subject sentences and multi-subject sentences. With translation methods such as combination, division, word order adjustment, amplification, and omission applied to these sentences, the reason is also explained. Finally, the author summarizes and reflects on the translation process of this report, pointing out that communicative translation or semantic translation cannot be applied mechanically. In conclusion, when we discuss specific types of sentence components, our aim is to fit contexts and meet the purpose of translation, then we can choose a more appropriate translation method. In this practice, the author always ensures a rather complete transmission of cultural factors.Meanwhile, the author is not limited to the framework of Chinese-characteristic sentence patterns in order to reduce reading difficulties for target language readers. In the end,the readers will be able to accept the translation version.Applicated with the communicative translation, the semantic translation and correlative approach to translation, this report can provide some new ideas for the current situation of "regional cultural export" in China. Also,it can enrich the study of the English translation of "Jingchu Culture" to some extent.
