Firstly,theoriginal workelaborates the hotels from the following six elements: Guest Services,Branding,Traditional Marketing,Internet Marketing,Online Travel Agencies and Free WiFi.After that,quite a few examples of excellent resorthotels are listed.The main contents of the examples are interviews with operators of globally-famous resort hotels to introduce and share successful experience for readers.The writer's task is the translation of the examples.Tourism translationis chosenas the type of this translation projectforthe purpose of promoting the development of tourismindustry and helping the people engaging in tourism industry,especially the hoteliers,to understand and learn advanced experience of foreign countries.The writer's task is the translation of interview-style tourism textwhichbelongs to informative text.Under the guidance of semantic and communicative translation proposed by Peter Newmark,the writertakes full advantage of tourism translation skills learnt in graduate life,and classifiesthe difficulties and key points,striving to implore the most appropriate and natural translation.After the translation practice,the writer gets a deeper understanding of semantic and communicative translation.In addition,the writer is able to solve the translation difficulties in tourism translation under the guidance of semantic and communicative translation.
