Phonics is a kind of teaching method which allows students to master the phonetic-form correspondence.Research shows that systematic and detailed comprehensive phonics can help children learn English in reading and writing quickly and effectively.This method has achieved better teaching results in Anglo-American countries.In recent years,it has also attracted the attention of a large number of scholars and English teachers in China.A large number of studies have shown that in primary school English vocabulary teaching,teachers can help students to establish an internal connection between "sound" and "shape" of vocabulary and improve students' ability to read words and spell words accurately.Through literature search,it is found that there are many researches on how to use natural spelling effectively in English vocabulary teaching,but,there is a few action search.This paper will report the actual situation of vocabulary teaching by phonics method in my school and revise it constantly according to the actual teaching process.The paper tries to solve the following two problems:1.Can the implementation of "phonics " stimulate students' interest in learning English vocabulary? Can students improve their spelling and spelling skills? 2.How can "phonics method " be taught in this class to improve students' spelling and spelling ability? This study hopes to improve the teaching effect of English vocabulary with the help of the phonics.The aim is to explore the correct and effective methods of vocabulary learning which is suitable for our students and then provide some reference for the teachers who are also in the dilemma of English vocabulary teaching.A class of students in the sixth grade of our school will be selected as the research object.With the help of "Phonics method " and will choose Phonics Kids as teaching material.In this research,interview,Teaching Case Analysis,teaching log,test and other research tools will be used to reflect the problems in the research process and timely adjust action plan timely.The research will test the effectiveness of phonics to improve students' spelling and spelling ability.The results show that the use of phonics in senior vocabulary teaching has aroused students' interest in English vocabulary learning and also improved students' ability of spelling and spelling to a certain extent.It is also found that using phoneme combination strategies including "incremental combination" and "continuous combination ",which teach students the mechanism of word operation can stimulate students' phonological awareness.Through the use of word spelling and spelling strategies including "visual word strategy" and "spelling words by core letters ",it has a positive effect on students' spelling.In addition,the whole language teaching is very suitable for the classroom of phonics.
