The cavalier perspective is a technique of creating space and observing objects in traditional Chinese painting art,while focus perspective is a representation method of constructing picture space in western painting art.As animation has the morphological characteristics of painting and plastic arts,as well as the basic characteristics of film art,it relies on the unique skills and means of painting and film,which include the changes of perspective in the picture.The unique "cavalier perspective" method is one of them.In Chinese and western animation works,the cavalier perspective and focus perspective are respectively used to achieve different artistic styles.A large number of animation works with distinct Chinese cultural and traditional characteristics in the early stage of animation history are unique in the world,which are well-known as the "Chinese school of animation ".Nowadays,with the rapid development of technology,the requirements for the contents and the production of animation are getting higher and higher.Because of complicated internal and external factors,Chinese animation has begun to show its shortcomings and starts to fade away.Consequently,the reviving of Chinese animation requires the comprehensive application of advantages of multiple artistic means,which includes the comprehensive application of cavalier and focus perspective in animation spatial visualization.This article analyzes and compares a variety of classic Chinese and western animation cases,and mainly focuses on exploring and understanding the application of visual effects of cavalier perspective in Chinese animation works.By comparing the aspects of the expression power of the picture,the composition framing and the spatial performance of the view,the use of the lens,etc.,this work aims to understand the expression and presentation of the spatial perspective in the Chinese animation works and find out the cause of its fading and the influencing factors of the differences between cavalier and focus perspective.Further more,in order to improve and integrate the two perspectives,we analyzed the perspective of artistic language,culture,aesthetics,etc.In summary,this work provides new insights and ideas for the creation of animation,as well as suggestions and prospects for the development of space perspective in Chinese animation.
