| Mind mapping is not only a cognitive tool for knowledge representation,but also a new thinking mode and learning method,It can promote the development of pupils’ learning ability and divergent thinking,activate pupils’ memory potential,improve vocabulary and learning efficiency.In primary school,vocabulary teaching is one of the teaching contents that cannot be ignored in English subject teaching.Vocabulary is the basis of learning English and the key to learning English well.The numbers of pupils’ vocabulary plays an important role in the development of their listening,speaking,reading and writing.Most of pupils are in the specific operational stage.According to Piaget’s children’s cognitive development theory,at this stage,their cognitive structure has begun to reconstruct and improve,their thinking has certain flexibility,and they begin to carry out logical thinking and cluster operation,so it has certain advantages to apply mind mapping to English vocabulary teaching in primary school.However,there are still some problems in the implementation of mind mapping in English vocabulary teaching in primary school,and how to effectively use mind mapping in vocabulary teaching will be the issues to discuss in this study.In order to research the current situation and existing problems of mind mapping in primary school English vocabulary teaching more deeply,this study takes the application of mind mapping in primary schoolEnglish vocabulary teaching as the research content,teachers and students of X primary school in M city as the research object,by the methods of literature,investigation,classroom observation and case analysis,through practical investigation to mind mapping in vocabulary teaching situation and existing problems of the application,this paper analyzes the influencing factors,and puts forward corresponding optimization measures from the aspects of students,teachers and schools,so as to provide reference information for teachers to effectively use mind mapping for teaching.The full text is divided into five parts.The first part: Introduction.Through the combing and integration of the literature,the introduction part is mainly elaborated from five aspects:research background,research purpose and research significance,literature review,research ideas and research methods,research innovation and research deficiency.The second part:Overview of mind mapping.This part mainly defines relevant concepts and profoundly analyzes the connection between the characteristics of mind mapping and the theoretical basis of mind mapping and English vocabulary teaching,etc.At the same time,the application advantages of mind mapping in English vocabulary teaching in primary school are expounded.The third part: Investigating the current situation.Through the field investigation,combined with questionnaire,interview and classroomobservation,we can understand the current situation of mind mapping in English vocabulary teaching of X primary school.The fourth part: Problem reflection.Through the description and analysis of the current situation,this study found that the current situation of the apple of mind mapping in this primary school needs to be improved.This study found the main problems are: Teachers’ ability of using mind mapping needs to be improved,teaching practice and teaching research activities based on mind mapping are lack,which mainly shows that teachers need to strengthened their understanding and research of mind mapping,teachers need to improve the frequency of the mind mapping use and draw in the class,teachers need to increase the frequency of participating in teaching and research activities related to mind mapping;students had problem in high-quality drawing,they lack the necessary theoretical knowledge and relevant training of mind mapping,which mainly shows that students need to strengthen the understanding of mind mapping,the frequency of using mind mapping needs to be improved,and the skills of drawing mind mapping need to be enriched.The fifth part: Put forward measures.In view of the existing problems,this study puts forward the following measures: school should pay attention to the growth of teachers;teachers need to use mind mapping to teach effectively and improve their teaching ability;studentsneed to use mind mapping to learn effectively and achieve self-development. |
