In today's society,the preschool education and knowledge transfer of children are becoming more and more significant,and all kinds of educational forms and institutions are endless.For the visually impaired children,preschool education is also very necessary.They could learn scientifically and rationally to train the compensation making up for visual defects in addition to visual sense,so as to explore other potential and promote the healthy development.The development of preschool children education has become an important trend in the world,some developed areas have even done from the age of zero on the visually impaired children.Among them,science books is one of the effective ways to spread scientific knowledge,visually impaired children's education has also obtained the better development in foreign countries.However,in our country,because of the visually impaired children's education has not been included in the scope of compulsory education,it has not been given full attention from the society.The existing blind schools in the country only setting up related courses for the school-age visually impaired children.The scope of education has not been able to fully cover the special education related to children,so research on the field of preschool children education and scientific popularization are also in a relatively blank state.The cultivation of preschool popular science knowledge is of great significance to the lifelong development of visually impaired children,and it is urgent to strengthen the popularization of scientific knowledge of preschool children.Material language could help the book to transfer information effectively,and also developing the fine action of children with visually impaired.Therefore,we need to learn from the advanced experience of foreign children's science books,combining it with the specific situation of our country,by bringing the book design and material language together,so as to explore a suitable way and useful value for our preschool children's popular science books with continuous attempt.The research of this topic mainly adopts questionnaire survey method,data analysis method,interdisciplinary research method and case analysis method.Through the preliminary research,the paper summarizes the relevant questionnaires and the current situation,the development direction and the existing problems of the popular science books of the preschool children in our country according to the questionnaire feedback.Combined with the visit to China Braille Library,China Braille Publishing House,Linyi City Special Education Center,and part of the communication with visually impaired children's parents,from the professional design perspective and user needs' level,we need to explore a suitable and practically valued,specific method of science book design for visually impaired preschool children.
