Childhood is the basic stage of the development of life.Early education is the most important period of the development of human cognition. However, children with visual impairments have many difficulties in cognition.Visually impaired children are one of the special groups in China. In recent years, although our country has paid more attention to the education of special groups and allowed them equal opportunities for development, they are still at a disadvantage in the entire humanities and cultural exchanges.Books should be one of the most important tools for human communication and they are also one of the most important ways for children with visual impairment to understand the world.Books currently available for visually impaired children are mostly based on Braille and can truly be viewed from the perspective of visually impaired children. There are few books that meet their touch reading habits and cognitive laws. This topic will be targeted in cognitive psychology, book design for visually impaired children is summarized as the following aspects:First, from the interpretation of the main research content of cognitive psychology to analyze the cognitive characteristics, cognitive psychology and behavioral habits of visually impaired children of different ages, and to summarize the cognitive characteristics of visually impaired children from perceptual sensation, attention and memory. And regularity;summed up the current stage of visually impaired children's books and existing problems.Secondly, taking cognitive psychology as the core, this paper contrasts and analyzes the differences in cognitive processes between visually impaired children and ordinary children, and summarizes the characteristics of visually impaired children's perception, color perception, thinking, and memory development. The cognitive characteristics of visually impaired children in reading;Analysis of the status quo of book design for visually impaired children and the strengths and weaknesses of existing books;Summarizing the important factors affecting the reading of visually impaired children;Explaining the importance of cognitive psychology in introducing visually impaired children's book design,Explaining the future needs of visually impaired children's book design from the perspective of cognitive psychology.Third, study the strategies of book design for visually impaired children and point out that book design can help visually impaired children in three directions. They would strengthen their understanding of space and orientation and improve their overall integration capabilities;and transform a single message. For multidimensional imagination space.Next, from the perspective of cognitive psychology,we propose that visually impaired children's books should follow the design principles of strengthening the humanized design and focusing on a variety of perceptual experiences;summarizing the design of visually impaired children's books should be integrated into interesting, experience, and emotional design. The concept; In addition, from the material, format, format, form and other aspects of visually impaired children's book design elements for analysis and summary. Finally,in the practice, the results of this paper are verified and evaluated.Based on the cognitive psychology of the visually impaired children, the book design is based on the cognitive characteristics of preschool and school age children with visual impairment. In the design practice, scientific adjustment would be emphasized.Children's tactile, auditory and other perceptual systems help visually impaired children to enhance their learning enthusiasm and interest, enhance their cognitive abilities, and enable them to perceive a lively,interesting,three-dimensional and lively world reading experience.
