A Study On The Group Of Literati In JiangNan Area During The Western Jin Dynasty

In the Western Jin Dynasty,Jiangnan literati helped each other in official affairs,made friends with each other in literature,cared for each other in life,because of their families' intermarriage,similar fate and interests,cultural literacy.Ultimately,they formed a huge regional group relationship.The Western Jin dynasty destroyed the state of Wu,carried out the double policy of connivance and precaution to Jiangnan.Because of the exclusivity of family politics,Jiangnan literati were unfortunate in their official career,there were some contradictions between the north-south literati.Although the country was unified,there was no cultural or ideological unity.Jiangnan literati advocated Confucianism and literature,showing a conservative style different from that of the central plains.In the practice of literature,they used to create literature with the attitude of scholarship,and integrated the Confucian thoughts,such as moral code,etiquette system,heaven-human induction ideology.The Zongjing color was strong,and there was a flow and rhyme of Han Confucianism.When Jiangnan literati entered the central plains,they had obvious resistance to the metaphysics ethos,and expressed their rebellious attitude towards the empty atmosphere in their works.However,in order to integrate into the northern academic and cultural circle,they more or less would accepted the influence of metaphysics,some literary works have metaphysical meanings.Jiangnan literati,who set the characteristics of the region and the times,the themes tended to be similar.Praised ancestors merit,having a distinct clan consciousness.Missed home,with a strong feeling of homesicknes.Recounted the official career,full of deep resentment.Wandered in seclusion and participating in politics were actually the helpless actions.The creation style also presented the group characteristic in the specific environment.The selection of poetry imitated its predecessors,the writing was rich and abundant.The couplets were usually known for the regular linguistic forms.Some literary works had the aesthetic implication of bright,beautiful,clean and graceful.In the period of the Western Jin Dynasty,the political and social activities of Jiangnan literati,vividly reproduced the state of mind of the literati under the regime change.their literature works were animportant part of the literature of the chaotic times.
