In the past, the majority of scholars pay more attention to the research of literati clans in the Six Dynasties, the research of literati clans in the Tang Dynasty is a little weak.This dissertation takes Shandong literati clans in the Tang Dynasty as research object,studies their family characteristics,thought and marriage, mainly discusses the relation between literature in the Tang Dynasty and them.There are many writers in Shandong literati clans in the Tang Dynasty.Their works are so characteristic that they influence the development of literature in the Tang Dynasty greatly.In this dissertation, Chapter I outlines the formation of Chinese literati clans, smmarizes the development history of Shandong literati clans in Middle Ages,discriminates original place and family history concept from native place concept,differentiates the concept of Shandong literati clans in the Tang Dynasty from the concept of Shandong in the Tang Dynasty.Chapterâ…¡researches the family characteristics of Shandong literati clans in the Tang Dynasty, discriminates the smilarities and differences between Shandong literati clans and Guanzhong literati clans in the Tang Dynasty, points out the significance of Shandong literati clans in the Tang Dynasty as cultural clans,holds such a view that Longxi Li belongs to Shandong literati clans but Guanzhong literati clans,analyzes the profound implication of argument on resorting to arms or not in the Niu-Li factional strife.Chapterâ…¢emphatically discusses the difficult situation of Shandong literati clans in the early and flourishing years of the Tang Dynasty,analyzes the reason of their revival and decline,inspects four compilations of official genealogical tree,points out the compilation of Yuan He Xing Zuan is related to the revival of Shandong literati clans.
