In 1993,Mr.Gao weijie,a famous Chinese composer,composed the bamboo flute and flute “ Dreams of Meeting”,which is a masterpiece combining Chinese and western styles.In terms of creation,the composer used the obvious technique of Polystylism,combining the melodic material of the famous impressional music “Prelude a l'apers-midi d'un faune” and the ancient Chinese music “The Night of Spring Flowers,River,and Moon” with the obvious technique of the Polystylism in the “ Dreams of Meeting”.In the play,in order to express the dissonant harmony color and strong sound effect of modern music,the players are faced with some difficult skills such as breath control and semitone playing,which to some extent expand the players' performance skills of modern music works.The purpose of this paper is to interpret the musical style and playing skills of the bamboo flute and flute “ Dreams of Meeting”.This dissertation will analyze this work from the following aspects:First,through the background of the creation of “Dreams of Meeting”,the composer's introduction and the creation intention of the work,introducing the work “Dreams of Meeting”.Second,it analyzes the music style of the works through the basic analysis of the works and the characteristics of the complex style.Thirdly,the paper discusses the performance of bamboo flute by analyzing the music score before playing,the analysis of playing skills,the integration with flute voice part and the expression of emotion in playing.Finally,it further discusses the creative significance of the combination of Chinese and western techniques and the breakthrough significance of playing techniques.
