The Semantic Error Analysis On The Directional Verbs "Lai"

In Modern Chinese,the directional verb is a kind of verb that expresses the tendency of action.It can be used as predicate or predicate head,or it can be used as predicate or predicate head of a sentence with a predicate structure,but more often used as a complement after a verb.Directional verbs are frequently used in both spoken and written language.They are rich in meaning and flexible in usage.Foreign students often make errors in using them.Based on the previous research results,this paper sums up and summarizes the use of the directional verb "Lai",and analyzes the use of the directional verb "Lai" from syntactic,semantic and pragmatic levels.In addition,it searches the biased data about the directional verb "Lai" in the HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus which totalled 395,sums up the types of the biased data when the foreign students use the directional verb "Lai",and probes into the causes of the biased data,in order to provide reference to teachers?students and the compilation of teaching materials,some teaching suggestions and learning strategies are put forward.The thesis is divided into four chapters: the first chapter is the introduction,which explains the purpose and meaning of the topic,the object and scope of the research,the present situation of the domestic research on the directional verb "Lai",the research methods and so on.Chapter two describes the usage of the directional verb "Lai" from three levels: Syntax,semantics and pragmatics,this paper differentiates the meaning and usage of the compound directional verb formed by the simple directional verb "Lai" and "Lai",and focuses on the three structural forms and the grammatical meaning of the compound directional verb formed by "Lai".The third chapter mainly classifies and analyzes the collected corpus.From the perspective of errors,this chapter classifies and analyzes the directional verb "Lai" in terms of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.It is found that the biased corpus of the directional verb "Lai" mainly focuses on syntax and semantics.The Fourth Chapter is based on the error analysis to explore the causes of errors,summarized as the following three: the misusing of the meaning,the use of the rules of ambiguity,and the excessive generalization of the target language rules.On this basis,it also puts forward some pertinent teaching suggestions and learning strategies.
