Mr.Zhang Geng is a famous Chinese drama theorist,educator and drama historian.He had done a lot of practice and research in different stages of the development of drama,which is a precious wealth in the cultural treasure-house of Chinese drama.At the same time,he had also cultivated a large number of excellent drama talents and made indelible contributions to drama education.Mr.Zhang Geng's theory of drama poetry,as a guiding theory of drama creation and reform practice of traditional Chinese opera since the 1950 s and 1960 s,especially in the new era,is worth our in-depth and systematic study.The thesis is divided into four chapters: The thesis starts with the origin and development of "Theory of Dramatic Poetry",focusing on the aesthetic connotation of "Theory of Dramatic Poetry" in the presentation of scripts and stage performances,and tries to find the regularity and profound meaning contained in "drama poetry theory",and discusses the significance and influence of "drama poetry theory".The first chapter is about the concept definition of "drama and poetry theory".This chapter is the basis of the whole thesis.After defining the basic concepts,the thesis is further studied.The first section is the analysis of the concept of "drama poetry theory" and the origin of "drama poetry theory" under the background of western drama culture and eastern culture.The second section is the proposal and development of "drama poetry theory",combing and studying Mr.Zhang geng's theoretical article on "drama poetry theory",and making a scientific and reasonable induction and analysis of the theory formation and development of "drama poetry theory".The second chapter mainly discusses the expression form of "drama poetry theory" in drama textology.Mr.Zhang Geng believes that the poetry of the opera should be shown in the play study.The first section starts with the expression of thepoetic theme of the script.The writing of poetry should be emotional,rational,and contextual.In the second section,the language of drama poetry is poetic.The language of drama poetry has been refined and processed.It is not only very personalized,but also very natural in rhythm,tone,rhythm and vocabulary.The language of dramas and poems should obey certain requirements and laws.The third section is about the study of script structure and character creation.Drama poem is a script on the stage,a poem sung out verbally,combined with specific cases to study the typical character of the characters in a typical environment and the structure of the script.The third chapter is the progression of the second chapter.Mr.Zhang Geng believes that the connotation of "drama theory" should be presented in the stage performance.This chapter is divided into three subsections,which respectively express the poetry in "Theory of Drama and Poetry" from the angles of directors and actors,and how to divide and cooperate.The first section is the application of the director's technique.In order to present the "theory of drama poetry" on the stage,the drama director should improve his level,properly arrange the stage layout,reasonably use the music rhythm,and use his own unique thinking to arrange the whole.The second section is the conveyance of dance beauty.When presenting the connotation of "drama theory" on the stage,the role of "drama" should be achieved through multiple elements such as lighting,props,clothing,and makeup.These elements on the stage are commanded according to certain laws and rhythms,and then show the effect of "drama" that needs to be presented on the stage.The third section presents the characters,plot and artistic conception of the "drama" through actors.The actors should be good at observing life and deeply understand the roles to be played,so as to better create and display classic characters and emotions to be conveyed.The fourth chapter summarizes the value and significance of "drama poetry theory".As a far-reaching theory,the academic value and practical significance of "drama poetry theory" lies in four aspects: solving the problems of artistic creation,improving the quality of artistic creation,having a profound impact on the creationof modern drama,enriching the theory of drama aesthetics.
