Ceramics,as a kind of ancient and original materials from nature,has spanned thousands of years of human civilization with its unique and lasting vitality.With the change of the city and the change of aesthetics,environmental ceramics,as a new discipline in the field of environmental art,has been constantly appearing in different public Spaces through various forms such as murals,sculptures and installations on the basis of the concept of modern ceramics.It is the combination of traditional materials and modern aesthetics,in the modern urban jungle built by reinforced concrete,showing a unique charm and affinity.It is based on the integration of the environment,and then to improve the quality of space,improve environmental awareness of the purpose.Based on the design practice of Liaocheng high-tech holiday inn environmental ceramics "lake light and pond beauty",this paper discusses the environmental ceramics that the ceramic materials intervene in the public environment on the basis of the concept of modern ceramics.Firstly,the concept of environmental ceramics is defined,the characteristics of environmental ceramics are expounded,and the excellent environmental ceramics are analyzed.Secondly,through the exploration of Liaocheng’s historical and cultural characteristics and regional characteristics,starting from the design ideas and design concepts of environmental pottery "lake light and melody",through the design practice process to trigger thinking and comprehension;Finally,the paper discusses the value and significance of the development of environmental ceramics and draws a conclusion.Through the study of the design practice of environmental ceramics "lake light and melody",it is expected to provide some useful references for the development of environmental ceramics.
