The studies of past have shown that Organizational citizenship behavior is important to the overall interests of organizations.However,this behavior of employees is not always spontaneous.The Organizational citizenship behavior exhibited forcedly by employees,when they facing the pressure from one's own,others or environment,is Compulsory citizenship behavior.For employees,Compulsory citizenship behavior is an extra requirement imposed by the organization,which will make them burdened and is not conducive to the improvement of individual work performance.The studies of past have shown that different leadership styles have different influences on Compulsory citizenship behaviors,among which the Paternalistic leadership influencing employees through three kinds of leadership,authority,benevolence and virtue.Does this kind of leadership lead to Compulsory citizenship behaviors? Or is Compulsory citizenship behaviors also influenced by other factors? Therefore,it is useful to explore the relationship between leadership styles and employee psychology,motivation,and behaviors,which is conducive to providing a new direction for the exploration of organizational management practices.In this study,745 employees from different work fields were used as the subjects.The influence of Paternalistic leadership on employees' Compulsory citizenship behavior has been discussed from the perspective of Social exchange theory.And a moderated mediation model has been built for discussing the mediating effect of Psychological security and moderating effect of Impression management.The data were processed and analyzed by statistical software of SPSS,and the results are as follows:(1)Benevolent leadership and Moral leadership were significantly negatively related to employees' Compulsory citizenship behavior.Authoritarian leadership,on the contrary,was significantly positively related to employees' Compulsory citizenship behavior.Benevolent leadership and Moral leadership were significantly positively related to employees' Psychological security,Authoritarian leadership was negatively related to Psychological security.Psychological security was significantly negatively related to employees' Compulsory citizenship behavior.(2)Psychological security played a mediating role between various dimensions of Paternalistic leadership(Benevolent leadership,Moral leadership and Authoritarian leadership)and Compulsory citizenship behavior.(3)Impression management played a negative moderating role in the relationship between Psychological security and Compulsory citizenship behavior in the dimensions of Benevolent Leadership and Authoritarian Leadership,that was,it moderated the latter half of the mediating process.
