The Study On The Quantity Of "V Ge XP" In Modern Chinese

This article divides the "V ge XP" format into three sub-formats—— "V ge NP" "V ge VP" "V ge AP",and taking them as the research objects of this paper.First of all,the three elements of measurement theory,"quantity type" "measurement dimension" and "quantity value" are used to analyze the quantity of the three sub-formats one by one.Then,comparing the similarities and differences in quantity between them.Finally,through the similarities and differences of their quantity laws to judge the structure type of "V ge XP" and the grammatical attribute of "Ge".This paper is divided into three parts:The first part is the introduction,which summarizes the research objects,research contents and research significances of this paper,explains the research methods and corpus sources of this paper,and summarizes the previous research results.The second part is the main part of the article,including the second,third,fourth and fifth chapters.Firstly,according to the different parts of speech of “XP”,"V ge XP" format is divided into three sub-formats—— "V ge NP" "V ge VP" and "V ge AP",and then the second,third and fourth chapters are respectively established with the three sub-formats as the core.Secondly,in the second,third and fourth chapters,according to the different carriers of the quantities,the three sub-formats all can be divided into two quantity types—— calculating the amount of things and the amount of events respectively.When calculating the amount or the species of things,the formats' quantity dimension is "individual dimension" or "species dimension",quantity value is "one".When calculating the amount or the species of events,the formats' quantity dimension is "individual dimension" "species dimension",quantity value is "one".But when the quantity dimension is "artificial dimension",the formats calculates the level of the events,and the measurement result is not exactly,but a hierarchy in a sequence,such as highest level,high level,middle level or low level.In addition,the "V ge NP" format and "V ge AP" format also can not measure anything,they are the non-quantifiable formats.Through the analysis of "Ge" in the non-quantifiable format,it is found that "Ge" is no longer a quantifier,but is equivalent to "auxiliary word","discourse markers" or "word liner" in theformat.Finally,in the fifth chapter,comparing the three sub-formats' similarities in quantity,and trying to find out the extended and evolutive relations of them.Then,comparing their differences in quantity,and judging the degree of grammaticalization of each three.The third part is the conclusion,which summarizes the research results of this paper,reflects on the shortcomings of this research,and proposes the future research direction.
