The Absurd Reality

In the middle of the 20 th century,with the social crisis arising from the imbalanced development of the world,a new artistic technique of contradictions,anti-traditional and irrational emerged-absurd,and then affected the development of different fields into an artistic trend,which has become the most representative today One of the creative ways.This form of artistic expression has extremely strong visual impact and unique allegorical connotation in the field of figurative painting art,and meets people's spiritual desires and needs.Absurd art is closely related to social,political,and cultural changes.It is an artist's journey through the real world to the spiritual world.At the same time,it shows the transformation of figurative painting under the process of artistic diversification,revealing a new look.The works of three contemporary artists listed in this article,Zhao Yang,Neo Rauch,and Matthias Weischer,all show unforgettable images and scenes,a sluggish narrative style and unusual Picture structure.I use realistic context and aesthetic guidance as the starting point to analyze,research,and explore the rational and irrational thinking contained in the absurd paintings of these artists,the social context behind the individuals,and specific works.The way of presentation,and use this to analyze and explore the entanglement and transformation of "absurdity" and "reality" in figurative painting under the present age,and the impact of absurdity on my own artistic practice.
