As the symbol of the Chinese nation,the origin and development of the dragon is a topic that people take great delight in talking about.As one of the existing art forms of the dragon,the dragon pattern has been widely used in all dynasties.The unique shape of the dragon pattern in the Spring and Autumn Period is very different from the dragon pattern that we are familiar with today.The dragon pattern on the bronze wares of the state of Chu is more varied and ingenious,which occupies an important position in the traditional pattern decoration in China.Although the characters in the pre-Qin period had a downward trend,they were still enjoyed by the rich.As a way of communication,the patterns were more worthy of exploration and research,except for the external shapes and the symbolic meanings behind them.The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter clarifies the source,significance,research background,and innovation points of thesis.The second chapter starts with the influence of Chu's economic strength in the Spring and Autumn Period,the dragon pattern in the Shang and Zhou periods,and other regional dragon pattern factors at the same time.The third chapter classifies the bronze dragon patterns of the Chu Kingdom in the Spring and Autumn Period based on the research of some scholars and their own research,and analyzes them one by one.The fourth chapter starts from the overall decoration of the dragon pattern,and analyzes the composition and combination layout of the dragon pattern from a macro perspective,so as to analyze the modeling method and technique of the dragon pattern.The fifth chapter explores the spiritual connotation and function of the dragon pattern of Chu from the aspects of symbolic connotation,advocating ritual and law,literary thoughts,witchcraft concepts and aesthetic meanings,and makes some thoughts on contemporary art design through Chu dragon pattern.And re-created,providing some application examples for the fusion of the bronze pattern of the Chu Kingdom with modern design.Through research,this paper finds that the dragon pattern on the bronzes of Chu State in the Spring and Autumn Period continued the dragon pattern of Shang and Zhou dynasties,and made an innovative evolution in line with its own economic and artistic development to meet its own cultural aesthetics.In terms of art form,the change of the dragon pattern of the Chu Kingdom is constantly changing,and in the multi-shaped world of bronzes,it is constantly innovating without losing the rhythm.In terms of symbolic connotation,the Chu pattern of the Dragon pattern is profound and echoes the society and culture at that time It depicts the connection between heaven and earth on bronze wares,communicates with people,and embodies the power.In the design inspiration,the dragon pattern of the Chu Kingdom is diverse and has always occupied a place in the history of art.It is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for contemporary art design.
