In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping declared "socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new era." On the one hand,China's influence on the world stage is expanding in the new era.The political films that carry the Chinese culture and the Chinese national image continue to expand the scope of communication through the advantages of the Internet,reach more audiences and gain new living space;but another On the one hand,the overall documentary industry in China is currently weak,and there is still a certain distance from industrialization.Coupled with the long-standing patterning of creation and the stereotype of communication and the competition of documentaries of other subject types,the development of political films is relatively lagging behind.Therefore,in the context of the new era,how to better "speak the Chinese story" and to value the socialist core values and the "Chinese dream" is a new topic that needs to be considered and explored.The research background of this paper.On the eve of the Nineteenth National Congress,CCTV broadcasted seven large-scale political films,namely: "To carry out reforms to the end","Strong Army","Great Power Diplomacy","Looking at the Sword","The Rule of Law China","Glorious China" Don't forget to keep moving forward."
