Among the many spatial images in literary works,city plays an important role as a large class.In Yu Dafu's novels,the content about the city is very rich,occupies a lot of space,and contains his unique urban life experiences.Looking at Yu Dafu's novel creation,it can be found that he pays more attention to the construction of space in the novel,does not devote himself to making a comprehensive description of the protagonist's life,or attempts to reflect the complex reality,but writes the modern intellectual's modern experience through the character's feeling of the outside world.This experience is closely related to a large number of urban writings by Yu Dafu.This article based on a large number of novel texts related to the city,through the ancient and modern vertical,the May 4th period horizontal two contrast,discusses the uniqueness of Yu Dafu city experience.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter summarizes the urban space displayed by Yu Dafu's novels,and deeply analyzes the causes of his urban writing characteristics.First of all,the social space of Yu Dafu's time is in a huge transition period.Under the background of modernization transformation,the cities mainly involved in Yu Dafu's novels,such as Beijing,Shanghai and Hangzhou,all show the characteristics of modernization.Secondly,the factors influencing Yu Dafu's urban space writing are analyzed.First,in the context of the history and culture of the May 4th Movement,Yu Dafu's old habits of the new literati.There are two factors,one is the enlightenment discourse of the May 4th Movement and the edification of the social trend of thought at that time,the other is the inheritance and transformation of the influence of western culture and the traditional culture of Chinese people.The second is to analyze the dual influence of urban life on his spiritual life and material life,that is,the dual rootless state of urban vagrants' life and spirit,which is due to the spiritual contradiction caused by the conflict between old and new cultures during the May 4th Movement and the existence contradiction brought about by the abnormal development of the moderntransition period of the city,which make Yu Dafu's new urban prodiga men.The second chapter analyzes Yu Dafu's sense of distance among urban space,man and city.Firstly,from the perspective of urban rover,the author analyzes the estrangement between the protagonist and the city under the influence of subjective emotion.Secondly,by comparing the city description in ancient novels,it is found that the new literati from "politics" to "individual ",from " public " to " private" gradually divorced from the traditional city experience.The third chapter analyzes the sinking of people in the urban space of Yu Dafu's novels.The specific urban space involved in Yu Dafu's novels is mostly inseparable from wine,drama and prostitution,as well as the natural space relative to the former.In urban writing,natural space is mainly composed of in and out park by urban for an alternative.Prostitution and natural space can not resolve the protagonist's survival dilemma,it brings more deep physical distress,and the park is difficult to resolve the mental sufferings.In contrast,such urban space care reflects Yu Dafu's inheritance of traditional literati habits and his transformation to modernity.The fourth chapter takes the urban space experience writing in the May 4th novel as the reference to explore the uniqueness of the urban space writing of the simultaneous Yu Duff novel.There are three types of urban spatial experience that were suppressed during the May 4th Movement: Lu Xun and local writers wandered between urban and rural areas to choose the strange circle,and the local expression.Third,the female writers are limited to the confusion of the part of the city.On the whole,the author's chaotic urban space experience in the May 4th period is summarized,which highlights the uniqueness of Yu Dafu's urban space experience,that is,the sober reality,the challenge under the depression.
