Brain-computer interface technology is one of the important fields at the forefront of neuroscience technology.Although the brain-computer interface technology started relatively late,it is still developing at a relatively fast speed, and many achievements have emerged so far. With the increasing applications of brain-computer interface and the expansion of this field, there are some technical and ethical issues that need to be solved. From the ethical point of view, this paper analyzes and discusses the five issues brought by the brain-computer interface: security, privacy, informed consent, justice and responsibility.Based on these ethical issues, the article attempts to propose countermeasures for these issues.Security issues are a top priority for any technology. As a novel neuroscience technology,brain-computer interface technology can bring good therapeutic effects to many patients with severe motor neurological dysfunction, but it also brings some risks. This paper identifies their risks by analyzing the risks and benefits of different types of brain-computer interfaces. Finally,a preliminary judgment is drawn: the therapeutic brain-computer interface and the non-invasive brain-computer interface are more ethically defended.Privacy issues and informed consent issues are also two important ethical issues brought about by brain-computer interface applications.First of all,the principle of the brain-computer interface is to directly acquire the information of the brain through the human brain,so as to achieve the effect of controlling the external device,so the privacy of the user is easily violated without knowing it.Secondly, because brain-computer interface technology is a novel technology,it is complicated in itself,so it is difficult for users to fully understand and master the relevant information in the process. The issue of justice is another ethical issue in the application of brain-computer interfaces.Due to the high cost of the brain-computer interface device and the inaccessibility of the technology,as well as the difficulty of using the device,it is difficult to become a technology shared by the public in a short period of time. Therefore, the application of brain-computer interface technology will bring about justice issues, such as life unfairness, education unfairness, justice unfairness, and distribution unfairness. The issue of moral responsibility is a very important ethical issue brought by the application of brain-computer interface.According to different situations, this paper blames the moral responsibility of brain-computer interface on three different responsible subjects: users, manufacturers and government. In addition,it is specifically stated that in some cases there will be a lack of responsible subjects, namely the responsibility gap. After analyzing the ethical issues of brain-computer interface, this paper puts forward some ethical countermeasures against these problems. These countermeasures include attaching great importance to the ethical issues of the brain-computer interface and fully understanding the risks.Establish and improve the ethical review and evaluation mechanism.Develop specific ethical guidelines for the development of brain-computer interfaces. And the implementation of privacy, informed consent and security.Due to the limited level of the author, these ethical countermeasures are all tentative, and their effectiveness and realistic effects need further research and argumentation. The author believes that under the relevant efforts of all parties, the brain-computer interface technology can certainly develop rapidly, thus promoting human health and happiness.
