In the process of human civilization,when music is invented and created with emotional appeal,it is "blind" music for quite a long time,without eyes,as long as it can be sung /played through oral instruction.When it develops to a certain period,music needs to be widely spread,needs education and inheritance,and must rely on certain means,then music score is produced.Therefore,the study of music media is to study the way of recording music.Music score,as a medium of music communication,has two meanings: one is that music score represents a specific symbol system independent of semantic symbols,that is,the notation method of converting sound into visual symbols according to certain rules;the other is that music score,similar to books,is a material medium bearing certain media,including editing,printing,publishing,binding,version and other external forms.Music media is not only rich in spiritual core,but also has material products.It is a combination of content and form.Music score media involves many aspects,such as the carrier of media,the carrier of media,the form change of media itself and so on.There are two core points in this paper: first,as a musical symbol object,music score needs to be sorted out clearly in terms of its historical facts and the differences between the West and the middle;second,as a material carrier object,what changes the carrier itself has undergone,what role the editor has played in it,and how its behavior has changed with the historical changes.Finally,music score media tells people that How does it settle into what it is today.In the process of recording music scores,due to various factors,such as human creation,social needs,printing and publishing technology and other influencing factors,which lead to the variation of recording symbols or communication methods,these are all problems worthy of attention in music editing.
