The Study On Mongolian Place Name Of Tushiyetu Banner

Place names are the products of human society that has developed to a certain stage.Place names are not only social or linguistic phenomenon,but also cultural phenomenon.Place names contain plenty of cultural characteristics.This paper,on the base of the collection of Mongolian place names in Tushi Yetu banner,is guided by the methodology of general Linguistics and cultural linguistics.Besides,it mainly uses the methods of fieldwork,literature,statistics,etc,to study the Mongolian place names in Tushi Yetu banner and the cultural characteristics reflected by the place names.At the same time,it briefly elaborates the main problems existing in Mongolian place names and puts forward own suggestions on place name's standardization.This paper consists of introduction,chapter one,chapter two,chapter three,conclusion,reference and addendum.In the introduction part,it mainly introduces some contents like the reasons about choosing topic and its significance,the general situations of research on Mongolian place name,research methods,material sources,and the general situation of Tushi Yetu Banner.The author not only discusses characteristics of nomenclature,grammar and the formation of Mongolian place names in Tushi Yetu Banner in the first chapter,but also expounds the changes of Mongolian place names and words on place names.This paper explains the cultural connotation of Mongolian place names in Tushi Yetu Banner in terms of regional culture and people's psychology in the second chapter.In the third chapter,the author summarizes the main problems of Mongolian place names in Tushi Yetu Banner and discusses the importance and significance of the standardization and normalization on place names.Therefore,suggestions on the standardization of place names are put forward.In conclusion,there is brief summarization about paper.Mongolian place names of Tushi Yetu Banner in Mongolian-English are listed in the addendum part.
