A Study On The Expectation Deviated Construction�VP+?+VP�in Modern Chinese

Under the perspective of cognition and pragmatics,this paper focuses on the study of�VP?VP�construction such as�???�and�???�,which are composed of predicate components.This paper mainly uses theoretical methods of semantics,pragmatic and cognitive linguistics to make a comprehensive study of this construction about its internal structure,textual function,pragmatic principles and formative mechanism.The full text is divided into five chapters:Chapter one is introduction,which is to summarize the research achievements of related expression,and indicates the and problems of the present research.Then introduce the research contents,theoretical methods and the source of language materials of this paper.The second chapter focuses on the construction �VP ? VP� and its components.Use the theory of construction grammar,the single-used �VP ? VP� structure is to be defined as a implicit complex sentence construction.Its component �VP� is a variable term,which is mainly composed of adjective components and verbal components and be analyzed from the aspects of syllable length,language unit and structure type.�?� is a constant term means judgment with a part of the function of the Modal adverb.In the third chapter,we research the semantic analysis and cognitive mechanism of �VP ? VP� construction.Based on the corpus,analyzing the logical semantics of�VP ? VP� and the subsequent sentence,and reveals the �concession-turn�relationship formed by the former and the latter clauses.Starting from the use of�VP ? VP� in dialogues and discourse,this paper analyzes its communicative subjectivity and subjectivity.From the perspective of cognition and pragmatics,this paper analyzes the expectation deviated semantic of the construction by using the theory of anticipation,the principle of cooperation and the principle of politeness.The fourth chapter researches the �X ?
