Study On Bee Industry In Guanzhong Area Of Shaanxi Province During The Period Of National Government

This paper takes the bee industry in Guanzhong area of Shaanxi Province during the period of National Government as the research object to investigate the development of Guanzhong bee industry in the period of the Republic of China,in order to reveal the Chinese traditional beekeeping under the influence of modern western advanced foreign advanced technology,the process of the era of self-change and the transformation from ancient traditional beekeeping to modern times.China is a country with a long history of beekeeping,and the history of beekeeping in Shaanxi is also very long.The unique climatic conditions in Guanzhong area provide innate conditions for the development of apiculture in Shaanxi Province.During the period of the Republic of China,there were many beekeeping in Guanzhong,Shaanxi among which Fuping County,Qian County and other areas were particularly developed.The honey produced is of good quality.It is widely loved by the people in Xi'an,Xianyang and other urban areas.It also enjoys a great reputation in other provinces.It occupies an indispensable position among many beekeeping provinces in China.Before the first World War,the development of Chinese bee industry was slow because of the low price of honey.After the first World War,the number of beekeepers increased gradually because the market price was becoming more and more expensive.Under the background that countries all over the world vigorously advocate beekeeping and modern beekeeping technology,and vigorously develop,new beekeeping techniques have also been introduced into inland apiculture from the coast,and it is no exception.The first people to come into contact with the new idea of beekeeping are Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Fujian,which are located along the coast,and the area of Beijing and Tianjin.Zhang Pinnan and Hua Shixun were the early representatives of introducing western bee species and new apiculture into China,which laid the foundation for the development of China's new apiculture.However,due to the excessive development of blindly buying a large number of bees,the apiculture industry in Peiping suffered a serious fiasco.Eighteen years of the Republic of China(1929),young students from Peking University in Shaanxi Province asked Huyan ruonong,to buy 20 groups of Italian bee species from Beijing and transport them to Xi'an,which was the source of the emergence of new beekping in modern Shaanxi.It was a severe drought in Shaanxi in the past three years,the development after the introduction is not optimistic.Until twenty-two years(1933)later,with the recovery of local vitality,the development of the apiculture has gradually taken a turn for the better.Twenty-nine years of the Republic of China(1940),Zhao Kunshan and other preparations organized the Shaanxi Bee Industry Promotion Society to breed bee species.At that time,there was a fever of beekeeping in Guanzhong,and the buzzing of bees could be heard everywhere.Later,due to the outbreak of rotten disease of bees,a large number of Italian bees died and suffered heavy losses.Under such circumstances,the Shaanxi apiculture Promotion Society established a special apiculture magazine to teach the public how to keep bees scientifically,recovered some losses,and made outstanding contributions to the apiculture in modern Shaanxi.Shaanxi apiculture continued to move forward in the midst of setbacks.
