The Mechanism Of Envy And Self-control

As a traditional negative emotion,envy has been in our lives for a long time,whether it is history,allegory or reality,which will remind us that its destructive power brings many lessons.However,some researchers have suggested that envy has two faces,one direction up,one direction down,homologous and born,run counter to.A lot of research has been done on these two fronts,to explore the duality of envy,to explore the dynamic behind its dark side,in the hope of deciphering this complex human emotion.Starting from the two variables of envy and self-control,this study explores the different effects of envy at the level of self-control.This study is composed of questionnaire research and experimental research,and verifies the different consequences caused by envy and self-control by combining characteristics and situations at multiple levels.Study is the first to verify in our society in the language and culture envy also has two types,the second used questionnaire to measure the characteristics of variable,using the structural equation model to study different factors related,studies three inspects the trait state of envy and self control to stick to tasks,the influence of aggression,the four study state of envy and trait self-control of pro-social behavior,the effects of cheating.The results show that:(1)The use of the single word envy in the language culture there are two different elements of "benign" and "malicious".(2)For task persistence,the main effect of state self-control was not significant,while the main effect of trait benign envy was significant.The main effect of ego loss on aggression tendency was significant.Under different levels of self-control,the subjects' aggression tendency was significantly different.Trait malicious envy can also affect individuals' aggression tendency,and state self-control can moderate the influence of trait malice envy on aggression tendency.(3)The main effect of the envy situation was significant,which indicated that the prosocial behaviors of the subjects were significantly different under different types ofstate envy.Trait self-control also affected the subjects' prosocial behaviors,while state envy regulated the influence of trait self-control on prosocial behaviors.The main effect of state envy was significant,the cheating behavior of the subjects was significantly different in different envy situations,and trait self-control also affected the cheating behavior of the subjects.Under different envy situations,the deception intensity of the subjects was significantly different,trait self-control would also affect the deception intensity of the subjects,and state envy would moderate the influence of trait self-control on the deception intensity.According to the research results,it can be found that:1.The use of the single word jealousy in the language culture there are two different elements of "benign" and "malicious".2.Trait benign envy positively predicted the task persistence time of the subjects,and the high intensity of ego loss increased the subjects' aggression tendency.Trait malicious and envy positively predicted the participants' aggression tendency,which was stronger under low self-control.3.Envy situation affects the prosocial behavior of the subjects,the more benign envy situation would like to make a pro-social behavior.Trait self-control positively predict subjects pro-social behavior,negative predictions were fraud and deception,strength in malicious envy situation is try to make more cheating.
