In recent years,China's economy has developed rapidly,its overall national strength has continued to increase,and its international status has also gradually improved.More and more countries are aware of the importance of learning Chinese.As a close neighbor of China,Malaysia has a lot of Chinese rooted here.Since the Malaysian government opened Chinese language teaching,more and more people have learned Chinese,and Chinese language teaching has flourished.In September 2018,as a volunteer Chinese teacher,The author started to work in Chinese teaching at University Malaysia Pahang.During the teaching period,most of the courses the author taught were elementary Chinese comprehensive courses.Based on the teaching situation of University Malaysia Pahang,The author adhere to the "student-centered",combine teaching preferences and needs to carry out teaching activities,pay attention to the practicality and fun of teaching,effectively attract students 'interest in Chinese learning,and cultivate students' learning Motivation.Through my efforts,students' Chinese proficiency has improved significantly,and their understanding of Chinese culture has increased.The author recorded the teaching cases during the tenure,and selected some typical cases to analyze the comprehensive Chinese language courses of University Malaysia Pahang.The paper aims to share the experience with future volunteers and those who are interested in teaching Chinese in Malaysia.The author hopes to contribute to the University Malaysia Pahang and Chinese language teaching in Malaysia.This article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter consists of the origin and significance of the selected topic,a review of relevant literature,and the research content and methods of this article.The second chapter analyzes the current situation and existing problems of the comprehensive Chinese course for elementary students of University Malaysia Pahang.The third chapter,the author shares representative cases selected in the teaching process,which are divided into five parts: phonetics,vocabulary,grammar,Chinesecharacters,and culture.Among them,the phonetic part includes tonal teaching,vowelü and consonants j,q,x combined teaching,consonants zh,ch,sh and z,c,s pronunciation teaching;the vocabulary part involves the whole process of new word explanation and practice word teaching,Including the teaching methods used in the teaching process,and the issues that need attention in teaching;the grammar part,through comparative analysis,selected learning difficulties for Malay students,such as the order of time attributives and adverbials,predicative sentences,dynamic auxiliary word teaching,and related sentence teaching;The Chinese characters are outside the scope of the final exam,therefore the teaching content is more casual.The author aims to attract students' interest in learning,introduce the basic knowledge of Chinese characters,help students understand the composition of Chinese characters from strokes,parts to Chinese characters.Finally,through the demonstration teaching of Chinese Character APP,introduce the methods and channels of self-learning Chinese characters for students;the cultural part follows the social hot spots and selects the cultural content that the students are interested in,such as the use of chopsticks,the customs of the Spring Festival,Chinese tea culture,and Chinese cities,etc.The fourth chapter is the author's suggestions on Chinese teaching in University Malaysia Pahang.This part is divided into three parts: "suggestions for Chinese teachers","suggestions for comprehensive Chinese courses" and "suggestions for related departments".The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this article.
