Testing is an important part of four links of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Achievement tests is the most frequently used test, which is directly related to language courses and based on course outline of teaching Chinese as a foreign language course, aiming at identifying the completion degree of students or language courses on educational goals. Achievement test of teaching Chinese as a foreign language has the function of teaching assessment and information feedback. The content and scoring rules of achievement test help guide Chinese learners’ learning strategies and teachers behaviors. In addition, achievement test is a major approach of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and language studies and helps promote the development of testing research and better service in teaching Chinese as a foreign language by statistical analysis of the points, topics and structures.However, after the end of the test, teachers always focus on student achievements, teaching effects and class rating and ignore the quality assessment of the tests. For example, they care about whether the test is valid, whether it matches the contents and objectives, whether the results reflect the examinees’ true level. Based on Chinese courses of University Malaysia Pahang, paper selects independent propositional test of final exam of Chinese intermediate course in May 2014 as the main object and analyzes on quality, topics and statistics in order to find some problems and deficiencies and provide references for independent propositional test design.
