With the popularization of computer network technology,college English teaching reform in higher vocational colleges has both opportunities and challenges.Under the network environment,the traditional teaching mode,teaching means and teaching media can no longer meet the needs of teachers and students in the new era.The research shows that advanced information technology is the best choice to solve teaching problems and break the bottleneck of teaching reform.With the change of teaching and learning environment,the content and scope of teaching research have changed.The emergence of the network environment,to some extent,broke the ecological balance of teaching and learning.Some non-network environment research contents once again become the focus of researchers with a new attitude.English autonomous learning will become the focus of researchers in the new environment.Some studies have shown that there are both similarities and differences in the problems of Autonomous English learning of Vocational College Students in the network environment and non-network environment.For example,vocational college students' English learning foundation,motivation and interest,learning strategies and methods,and learning quality are relatively weak,which will affect the formation of autonomous learning ability and the effect of autonomous learning.But under the network environment,what is the situation of English autonomous learning of vocational college students? What do students know about English autonomous learning? What are the problems of students in the process of autonomous learning? With such problems,in order to further improve the quality of English Teaching in higher vocational colleges,it is particularly important to have a deep understanding of the current situation of Autonomous English learning of higher vocational students in the network environment.Based on this concept,in order to further improve the quality of English teaching in higher vocational colleges and learn about how the students in the higher vocational use the Internet in foreign language learning under the network environment,the study takes the higher vocational non-English major students and teachers of the Level 16 and 17 from Xian yang vocational and technical college as an example to investigate students' English autonomous learning under this environment on the basis of theories of the autonomous learning theory,the network involved in theory and ecological theory.And then this study proposes the corresponding optimization measures and strategies by survey data analyzed using SPSS15.0.The results show that,compared with non-network environment,autonomous English learning of vocational college students presents new characteristics: 1)weak language foundation and lack of confidence,unable to effectively use online English learning resources;2)weak learning motivation and self-control,and easy to be affected by network resources unrelated to English;3)single learning strategies and methods,unable to select appropriate English learning network resources;4)poor study habits and strong patience,unable to independently carry out continuous network English learning.According to the above characteristics,this paper combines two kinds of teaching ecological environment,that is,network environment and non-network environment,this paper puts forward the optimization under the network environment of higher vocational institute students' English learning strategies: 1)to adopt the methods of the individual coaching and the network course to solid students' language foundation;to help students to choose the network resources with he guidance of teachers so that students can use net to study effectively;finally to enhance the student's identity and successful as well as strengthen students' self-confidence.2)to stimulate students' internal motivation of learning English,and gradually to enhance their learning motivation;to cultivate their self-discipline and self-control,and gradually to train students to consciously control themselves from irrelevant information during learning.3)in the process of teaching,to teach English learning strategies and methods based on the teaching material;to guide the student to choose the appropriate learning strategies and methods in accordance with the various contents;to train related learning strategies and English learning methods with the network resources;finally to help students to independently choose their own network learning resources and information to learn by themselves in order to improve your English step by step.4)in daily teaching,to divided students into groups according to students' personality traits and learning level and use the form of group cooperation to gradually change students learning bad habits;with the method of “scaffolding”,to help the students eliminate dependencies gradually,and to strengthen students' will to learn by using the way of alternating with short-term and long-term based on teaching materials and related study materials;to cultivate the students' habit of learning English for a long period of time in order to realize the ascension of the ability of autonomous learning under the network environment at last.
