A Study On The Present Situation Of Chinese Characters In Contemporary Calligraphy Creation

The text content is the creative material of calligraphy works,an important basis for the cultural spirit inheritance of the Chinese nation,and an emotional link in the process of calligrapher's creation.In the creation of contemporary calligraphy,it has become a common phenomenon to abandon the material meaning and focus solely on the visual effect.On the one hand,there is a serious lack of cultural heritage of contemporary calligraphers,on the other hand,calligraphy is largely restricted by western visual arts.This study with 35 years from 1980 to 2015,organised by the Chinese calligrapher's association,a total of 11 session of "national handwriting &seal cutting exhibition" in calligraphy written content as the research object,use the method of statistics from the Angle of text research shows that contemporary calligraphy art creation in terms of content and the relationship between calligraphy creation,summarizes the similarities and differences,and found the problem,and test its possible reasons behind,to provide certain reference significance to contemporary calligraphy creation material aspects.
