Pre-Qin period is a glorious period of the vigorous development of Chinese bronze ware in history.The wide range of pre-Qin bronze ware with different shapes have been classified in terms of their use and form by scholars.In the classification based on form,the foot of an artifact was classified as a small category or a classification standard so that It is enough to prove the value of research on the regularity and difference of bronze foot shape.This paper selected tripodia of bronze ware of Chu as research object.The first chapter is an overview of the research value of tripodia of bronzes in the pre-Qin period and the bronzes based on the tripodia.The second chapter is a brief description of the stages of the shape evolution of the tripodia of bronze ware of Chu in the pre-Qin period.The third chapter mainly discusses the tripodia of Chu bronzes from three aspects: the number of legs,the shape of legs and the corresponding relationship between legs and body shape.Starting from the origin of the tripodia,the leg numbers have been analyzed with the mathematical concept of Yin & Yang.The origin of modelling style of bionic animal havs been tried to analyze by observing the evolution rule of pre-Qin bronze ware and tripodia ware.According to the modeling differences of bionic three feet,the design prototypes of all kinds of modeling were traced back,the aesthetic feeling of the shape of the animal foot of Chu bronze ware was analyzed,and the design reasons of the foot shape in bionic three feet were discussed in combination with the ritual system of pre Qin period.of the body and foot of tripodia of Chu bronzes.It was summed up that Chu people used to make geometric body and bionic foot reach the harmony and unity of the whole modeling.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the unique aesthetic consciousness and spiritual pursuit of the Chu people in the comparison of the shape of the foot of the Chu bronzes and the Central Plains bronzes.
