Research On The Funeral Words In The Code Of Great Ming Dynasty

Funeral cuture occupies an important position in the chinese social culture,and there are many funeral words which represent funeral culture.This paper takes the Code of Great Ming Dynasty as a closed corpus,using quatitative and qualitative,both synchronic description and diachronic comparison,field investigation,contrastive analysis methods to make a classification and investigation on funeral words in it.The paper consists of five parts.The first chapter introducts the compiler,forming process and style of the Code of Great Ming Dynasty,and summarizes the research status of the Code of Great Ming Dynasty and funeral words,meanwhile,confirms the standard of selection of funeral words,then illustrates the value and research methods of this paper.The second chapter makes a classfication of funeral words in the Code of Great Ming Dynasty on the basis of standard of the previous part and a summary description.The third chapter does a diachronic research of variational words of funeral process and funeral costume from the pre-Qin period to the Han Dynasty,meanwhile,explores that the funeral words in the Code of Great Ming Dynasty inherited and developed the former dynasties' and later generations inherited and developed the funeral words in the Code of Great Ming Dynasty.The fourth chapter focuses on etymological discussion of two funeral words "Dao" "Fu" "Jiao".The fifth chapter studies mainly on some funeral words which haven't been recorded in the Chinese Dictionary and Chinese Dictionary supplement,and replenishes some Hakka funeral words which haven't been recorded in the Dictionary of Chinese Dialects.The conclusion part makes a summary of this paper,then points out the insufficiency in this research and the future striving derections.
