In the old days,most of the buildings in China were wooden frames,which had a long history,unique style,standing in the woods of the world,but having their own flavor.However,Putian,a city that located in the southeast coast,has a large area of stone dwellings that are quite different from the traditional wooden houses.The unique roof shapes,distinctive architectural colors,special materials,structure and other features give the stone folk houses of Putian unique regional characteristics.Putian,known as the "famous country of literature" and "Coastal Zhoulu",is also the origin of Ma Zu's belief in the world.It is close to both the sea and mountains and gathered lots of overseas Chinese.Also,it has deep cultural and humanistic connotations since.For this paper,it carries on creative paintings based on the investigation of stone folk houses of Putian.However,it does not make too many professional interpretations of architecture.Instead,it focus on the artistic characteristics of residential architecture and my creative paintings,explores the possibilities of architecture in painting with comprehensive materials.This paper is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which explains the starting point of the topic and combs the relevant literature regarding the present situation and the research methods.The second part comprises the first,second,and third chapters,which summarize the background and artistic characteristics of Putian stone folk houses.The third part is the fourth chapter.Based on the present situation of the stone folk house of Putian,my personal understanding is put forward in the paper.The fourth part is the final chapter,which is the explanation and conclusion of my creative painting.
