With the acceleration of the process of education information,a variety of new educational application tools have emerged one after another,and mobile terminal Tablet PC is one of them.It has provided learners with great advantages in terms of flexible learning time and place,and has provided great convenience for autonomous learning.It is the reform of learning methods under the widespread application of education information,has also attracted more and more attention from teachers and researchers.This research takes Tablet PC teaching as the core theme,absorbs the ideas of Activity Theory and Multimodal Theory,take primary school English as an example,and probes the application method of the integration of Tablet PC and subject teaching from the perspective of teaching activity design.Firstly,this research summarizes the design problems of primary school English classroom teaching activities in today's non-Tablet PC teaching environment through the study of domestic and foreign literature and field investigations,including easy-to-neglect student needs,individual differences,and single and untimely evaluation;then,according to the problem,use classroom observation method to analyze the excellent primary school English classroom teaching record in Tablet PC teaching environment,and find a solution to the problem;then based on the Activity Theory and Multimodal Theory,through summary analysis of existing literature and observation and analysis of classroom examples,it is concluded that the primary school English classroom teaching activities in the Tablet PC teaching environment should be designed according to the principle of hierarchy,the principle of subjectivity,fun and diversity;based on the ideas of Activity Theory,Multimodal Theory and instructional design,and according to the design framework of miniature mobile learning activities proposed by Zhi Cheng et al.,the design process of classroom teaching activities in the Tablet PC teaching environment is proposed.Finally,based on the analysis results of classroom observation and the proposed principles and processes of teaching activity design,this research proposes a design plan for primary school English classroom teaching activities in the Tablet PC teaching environment,the analysis of the plan proves that it well solves the design problems of primary school English classroom teaching activities in today's non-Tablet PC teaching environment.It is hoped that the design process of classroom teaching activities in the Tablet PC teaching environment and the design principles and plans proposed in this study will provide some references for future research on the use of Tablet PC in primary school English teaching and inspire more scholars to participate in related research,enrich related theoretical research,and provide some help for the teaching practice of front-line teachers.
