Performance teaching is a teaching method resulting from the development of performance psychology in educational reform.It combines some characteristics of communicative language teaching,role-playing method and situational language teaching to enable learners to play different roles,learn the communication strategies of different roles and develop their own Chinese communication ability in performance.The integration of performance into oral teaching can create a more active atmosphere in the classroom.The application of performance teaching in the oral class can quickly attract students' attention,make students actively participate in the classroom interaction,improve learning effect,and boost students' motivation in learning Chinese.The main body of this paper consists of six parts.The first part elaborates the background of the topic selection and the significance of the research,including theoretical significance,practical significance and innovations,and introduces the main contents and research methods of this research.The second part gives a general overview of the performance teaching,introducing the definition and classification of the performance teaching in the field of language research at home and abroad,and expounding the two theoretical basis of the performance teaching,as well as the related research of oral Chinese as a foreign language class.The third part analyzes the feasibility of performance teaching from teaching object,course type and preliminary test respectively.The fourth part explains the application principles and models of performance teaching,designs and implements performance teaching in the intermediate oral Chinese to Korean students,analyzing the implementation conditions,and presenting some issues to be paid attention to in the implementation.The fifth part reflects on the application of performing teaching in the intermediate oral Chinese to Korean students,including after-class investigation,analysis,reflection and suggestion.The sixth part is a summary of the results of this study,and points out the limitation of it.In this paper,Korean learners at intermediate level are taken as the research object todiscuss the application of performance teaching in oral Chinese teaching to Korean students.Literature research method,questionnaire and observation are adopted.This paper also discusses the concept,characteristics and theoretical basis of performance teaching,as well as the significance and application of it in detail,and concludes advantages and disadvantages of performance teaching in intermediate oral Chinese to Korean students,and puts forward some suggestions for the deficiency,hoping to make some contributions to the development of oral Chinese teaching as a foreign language in the future.The advantages of performance teaching is that it can improve learners' comprehensive ability to use Chinese,visualize book knowledge,arouse learners' interest in learning and stimulate their creativity.The disadvantages include that the classroom order is easy to be disordered,the time of performance practice is not easy to be controlled,the difference between learners is extreme,the performance teaching is less applied in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and intercultural communication problems involved in performance exercises.It is suggested that teachers should carefully plan the teaching,strictly control the time of performance practice,alleviate the extremity of learners' differences,constantly improve the teaching practice and actively guide learners to solve intercultural communication problems.Due to the limited amount of time of performance teaching classroom practice,the teaching effect may not be fully reflected,and further in-depth study is needed in the future.
