Textbook is one of the necessary tools in teaching activities.As an important supporter of teaching,it affects teaching directly and deeply.To ensure the quality and effect of teaching,choose a suitable textbook is the vital issue of teachers.Shenyang Shi Mao Talent International Education Center is the earliest training institute of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Shenyang.Chinese teaching class was held originally in 2005 and has formed the teaching style of its own.Teachers in Shi Mao have developed their self-designed textbooks at high,intermediate and primary level.Among them,The Living High Frequency Oral Chinese is the one which has been used for the longest time and has the most learners;the content of it is closed to living activities,too.This thesis analyzes the content,the style and the texts of The Living High Frequency Oral Chinese,concludes its advantages and disadvantages;make the surveys of students and teachers to get their feedback to the textbook through the questionnaire and interview,get acknowledge of the interests and traits of students,analyzes the matching degree of the textbook;based upon these,give the advices of optimizing the textbook,and hopefully,give some strength to the develop and application of self-designed textbook.This thesis is separated to five parts.Firstly,it introduces the background,research content,significance,research methods and summarizes the research results in the same field.Secondly,it introduces the profile of self-designed textbook,including the reason of self-design,the trait of the textbook,and analyzes the content in details.Thirdly,the using feedback of self-designed textbook,analyzes the learning situation of learners in oral English by questionnaires and the using feedback of teachers by interview,conclude the advantages and disadvantages of self-designed textbook.Fourthly,it gives the advices of improving the compiling of textbook,according to the results of analysis.At the last,it discusses the prospect of self-designed textbook of short-term oral classes.
